UMA Pre & Postnatal Teacher Training with Patti Quintero E-RYT 500, RPYT
The Journey to Birth into Motherhood is one of the greatest rights of passage that a woman can undergo, and a time of profound transformation. Guidance and strength during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period comes from having a deep connection to your body and your intuitive feminine nature. As each woman navigates through this unique and beautiful metamorphosis into a new state of being, her Yoga and Meditation practice will become one of her main support systems both physically and mentally to assist her throughout the many stages of motherhood.
UMA Pre + Postnatal Teacher Training is broken down into 5 different modules. All 5 modules must be completed in order to register with the Yoga Alliance for the RPYT certification.
This training is open to Yoga Teachers, Doulas, Midwives, Nurses, Childbirth Educators, Wellness Experts and Mothers of all stages, as well as anyone interested in learning more about Pregnancy and Birth.
In Bloom :: Pre + Postnatal Yoga Part 1
with guest teachers Dr. Elliot Berlin Prenatal Chiropractor and Ana Paula Markel founder of BiniBirth
This module will cover:
The role of yoga and meditation for Fertility and during the early stages of Pregnancy
Physiology + Anatomy of Early Stages of Pregnancy
Teaching Methodology: Postures for Fertility, Conception and 1st trimester of Pregnancy
The Role of the Doula
Daily Asana + Meditation Practice
Location: YogaWorks Playa Vista | Los Angeles. Ca.
Non-contact hours: In order to complete the 85 hour RYPT certification under the Yoga Alliance all 5 Modules + 6 additional non contact hours including observation in Patti's Prenatal Class and specific reading assignments must be completed.

Patti Quintero MA, E-RYT 500, RPYT, is the founder of UMA MOTHER and one of the leading experts in Prenatal Yoga for nearly two decades. Her company Uma is dedicated to empowering and inspiring Mothers and all Women to come together, celebrate + support one another through mindful practices, passionate living and conscious activism. Patti is one of the senior teachers and teacher trainers at Yoga Works in Santa Monica since 2001 and her specialization in women’s wellness includes her work as a Doula (birth coach), and her philanthropic efforts supporting Maternal health care. She teaches online classes in both English and Spanish found onmyyogworks.com and is a part of the LMU Yoga Therapy Faculty. Patti lives in Santa Monica, California with her two children.

In Bloom invites you into a space dedicated to strengthening your body, cultivating an intimate relationship with yourself + your baby, and connecting to a wonderful community of pregnant mothers. In Bloom is a commitment and investment in yourSELF and your baby during one of your greatest rites of passage as a woman.

* 8 In Bloom semi private sessions led by Patti Quintero
Each session includes: yoga, movement, breathwork, essential oils + meditation in preparation for your birth experience
When: Thursdays | 9:30-11:00 am
Where: The UMA Den | Santa Monica (location sent once signed in)

· you may start at any time and have 3 months to complete your 8 sessions
· upon completion of 8 weeks you have the option to join us for another round depending on availability
The UMA Sessions are semi private classes which focus on refining and deepening our practice of yoga, meditation and the feminine connection.
As modern women we are constantly seeking balance between juggling work, family life and nurturing those around us. We are left with little time and energy to nurture and nourish our own bodies and tend to our spiritual growth. This juggle can often times leave us feeling depleted and uninspired both physically and emotionally.
The UMA Sessions are a sacred space for strengthening and healing through postures, pranayama and meditations that honor our cycles and our different stages of life while integrating mindful balance and grace. As we step into our own ritual of self care and love for our bodies and well being we create a powerful movement for all the women in our circles who will get to experience that vital feminine energy that we then radiate. Our practice is a road map back home to our wholeness and happiness. Give back to yourself so that you can give more to your world.

Sessions include: yoga, pranayama, movement, music + meditation
When: Every Thursday 11:45-1:15 pm

· Upon completion of 8 weeks you have the option to join us for another round depending on availability. You will have 3 months to complete your 8 weeks.

Patti is passionate about working with individuals and couples in helping to empower women to trust their bodies as well as their instincts throughout pregnancy and into motherhood, serving as their advocate during this sacred transition.
